After preparing your entire order, contact Smith County Historical Society via phone at 903-592-5993 or via e-mail to receive this additional amount. Any order sent that does not include payment for shipping & handling cannot be processed until it is received. All items available from the online store can also be purchased at our museum store, which will save you the shipping & handling cost.

Orders will be shipped via United States Postal Service. Insurance is an additional cost and is recommended, but not required. However, the Smith County Historical Society is not responsible for uninsured items lost or damaged during shipment.

Author Randal Gilbert is a native of Tyler and a graduate of Tyler public schools. He holds degrees in history and law from the University of Texas. He is a Tyler attorney long active in local historic preservation efforts, and a member of the Society.
